About FirmHello
A small software company building one narrow product for accounting firms, rather than a platform that does nine things adequately for everybody.
The short version
Where the product came from
Every professional firm we talked to described the same unpaid job in slightly different words. An accountant called it chasing. An attorney called it onboarding. An agency owner called it waiting on assets. All three were describing hours of senior time spent asking somebody for a document they had already been asked for.
Nobody described this as their biggest problem, which is exactly why it never gets fixed. It is a persistent, low-grade, entirely solvable tax on the working week, and it turns out to be the same problem in every profession once you strip the vocabulary off it.
Why a portal, specifically
There is no shortage of software that stores files, and no shortage of software that sends reminders. What firms actually need is one object that holds both: a list of outstanding items that a client can see, that follows itself up, and that lives somewhere the client trusts because it carries the firm's own name.
That is a narrow product. We would rather build it well than surround it with time tracking, invoicing and a CRM you did not ask for.
How we onboard
We bring firms on in scheduled groups rather than all at once, because the difference between a portal that gets used and one that gets abandoned is almost entirely down to the first hour of setup. Every firm gets its branding and its first request templates built with someone who works on the product.
The security page sets out how client documents are held, in enough detail for the person at your firm who has to sign a vendor off. If your review needs a questionnaire completed, send it and we will complete it.
Who is building it
FirmHello is made by Furvur, a small independent software company. There is no venture funding behind it and no growth target that requires us to sell you more than you need. The people answering hello@firmhello.com are the people writing the code.
If you want to shape what gets built next, now is the moment. The question on the signup form about how you collect documents today is the one we read first, and it is what the roadmap is actually made of.
